I collaborated with two fellow theatre educators to create a proposal for applications that we wanted to download in order to maximize the potential of the iPads we were granted, and enrich our lesson plans with more technology. This proposal was written to our mentor and department head of theatre education. This opportunity taught me a valuable lesson in how to use rhetoric in a proposal, and how to format a list that is easy to read for the audience. It was an interesting experience because I was reading a chapter from my program management book (Theatre Management by David M. Conte & Stephen Langley) at the same time as we were writing the proposal, so I was putting theory into practice. I am a hands-on learner, which means a lot of the textual information solidified for me while working on this project.
